Plainfield Renewable Energy is a biomass power plant located in Plainfield, Connecticut, operating under the Northeast Power Coordinating Council. With a steam turbine technology, the facility has an operating capacity of 37.5 MW. It functions within the ISO New England power control area and is managed by Plainfield Renewable Energy. The plant is unregulated and primarily owned by Denham Commodity Partners Fund V, under the umbrella of Denham Capital Management. Its primary power purchaser is The Connecticut Light and Power Company, contributing to the region’s renewable energy landscape.
