Placid 12 is a regulated internal combustion power plant located in the Village of Clarkston, Michigan, within the ReliabilityFirst Corporation NERC region. The facility operates with a capacity of 14 megawatts and is integrated into the Midcontinent Independent System Operator power control area. DTE Electric Company serves as both the plant operator and the majority owner, with DTE Energy Company as the owner holding company. The plant utilizes oil as its primary fuel source, contributing to the region’s energy supply while adhering to regulatory standards.
