Pit 4 is a hydraulic turbine facility located in Montgomery Creek, California, within the jurisdiction of the Western Electricity Coordinating Council. The plant operates at a capacity of 95 megawatts and is integrated into the California Independent System Operator’s power control area. The facility is regulated and is primarily owned and operated by Pacific Gas and Electric Company, a subsidiary of PG&E Corporation. Utilizing water as its fuel source, Pit 4 plays a vital role in the region’s energy production and sustainability efforts.
