The Peacock Energy Project is a solar power facility located in Taft, Texas, within the ERCOT power control area. With an operating capacity of 150 MW, this unregulated plant harnesses the sun’s energy to generate electricity. Owned and operated by Lightsource bp Renewable Energy Investments Limited, the project plays a significant role in the Texas Reliability Entity region. The primary power purchaser for the energy produced is Gulf Coast Growth Ventures, highlighting the project’s contribution to sustainable energy solutions in the area.
