Ozark Beach is a hydraulic turbine power generation facility located in Forsyth, Missouri, within the Midwest Reliability Organization (NERC Region). The plant operates with a capacity of 16 megawatts and is integrated into the Southwest Power Pool power control area. The facility is regulated and is operated by The Empire District Electric Company, which also holds the majority ownership. The owner holding company is Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. Utilizing water as its primary fuel source, Ozark Beach contributes to the region’s energy supply while adhering to regulatory standards and operational excellence.
