Osawatomie Solar is a solar power facility located in Paola, Kansas, within the Midwest Reliability Organization region. With an operating capacity of 5 MW, the plant harnesses solar energy to provide sustainable power. It is managed by Evergy Kansas Central, which is also the majority owner under the Evergy holding company. The facility operates under regulated status and supplies electricity primarily to the City of Osawatomie, Kansas, through the Southwest Power Pool power control area. Utilizing the sun as its fuel source, Osawatomie Solar contributes to the region’s renewable energy goals.
