Old Hickory is a hydraulic turbine power plant located in Hendersonville, Tennessee, within the SERC Reliability Corporation region. With an operating capacity of 86.7 MW, it harnesses the energy of water to generate electricity. The plant is operated by the US Army Corps of Engineers (USCE) – Nashville District, which also holds majority ownership. As an unregulated facility, Old Hickory primarily sells its generated power to the Tennessee Valley Authority, serving as a key contributor to the local power control area.
