North Kingstown Solar is a solar power facility located in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, operating under the jurisdiction of the Northeast Power Coordinating Council (NERC). With an operating capacity of 1.9 megawatts (MW), the plant contributes to the energy needs of the ISO New England power control area. The facility is managed by North Kingstown Solar and is unregulated, allowing for flexible operational strategies. The majority ownership is held by Ameresco, a leading energy solutions provider, which also serves as the owner holding company. The plant harnesses solar energy, utilizing the sun as its primary fuel source to generate clean, renewable power.
