Norman Solar is a solar power facility located in Norman, Oklahoma, within the Midwest Reliability Organization (MRO) region. The plant operates with a capacity of 2 megawatts (MW) and is integrated into the Southwest Power Pool (SPP) power control area. The facility is managed by NextEra Energy Resources, which also serves as the majority owner through its parent company, NextEra Energy. As an unregulated entity, Norman Solar harnesses solar energy, utilizing the sun as its primary fuel source, to contribute to the region’s renewable energy portfolio.
