The NJMC Landfill, located in Kearny, New Jersey, operates as a solar power facility with an installed capacity of 2.5 megawatts. This facility is situated within the ReliabilityFirst Corporation’s NERC region and is integrated into the PJM Interconnection power control area. The plant is regulated and is operated by Public Service Electric and Gas Company, which also holds the majority ownership. The overarching owner is Public Service Enterprise Group Incorporated. The NJMC Landfill harnesses solar energy, contributing to sustainable power generation in the region.
