Nikiski Combined Cycle is a gas-fired power plant located in Nikiski, Alaska, within the Alaska Systems Coordinating Council (NERC Region). With an operating capacity of 82 MW, the plant utilizes combined cycle technology to efficiently generate electricity. It is operated by Homer Electric Association and primarily serves the Chugach Electric Association’s power control area. The plant is unregulated and is majority-owned by the Alaska Electric & Energy Cooperative, with Homer Electric Association as the owner holding company. The primary power purchaser for the facility is also Homer Electric Association.
