The Newington power plant, located in Newington, New Hampshire, operates under the Northeast Power Coordinating Council (NERC) region. Utilizing steam turbine technology, it boasts an operating capacity of 400.2 MW. The facility is part of the ISO New England power control area and is managed by Atlas Capital Resources II (A7), which also serves as its majority owner. The plant operates in an unregulated environment and is primarily fueled by oil. Its owner holding company is Atlas Capital Resources GP II. The primary gas pipeline servicing the plant is the Portland Natural Gas Transmission System, although it currently has no primary power purchaser.
