Neversink is a hydraulic turbine power generation facility located in Neversink, New York, within the Northeast Power Coordinating Council (NERC) region. The plant operates with a capacity of 22 megawatts and is integrated into the New York Independent System Operator’s power control area. The facility is operated by the Power Authority of the State of New York and is classified as unregulated. The majority ownership of the plant is held by the City of New York, which also serves as the owner holding company. Utilizing water as its primary fuel source, Neversink contributes to the region’s renewable energy portfolio while supporting local energy needs.
