The Na Pua Makani Wind Project is a wind turbine facility located in Kahuku, Hawaii, with an operating capacity of 27.6 MW. It falls under the NERC Region of Hawaii and is managed by AES Oahu. The project is unregulated and primarily owned by AES Distributed Energy, a subsidiary of The AES Corporation. The wind-generated power is purchased by the Hawaiian Electric Company, which also serves as the power control area for the project.
