Mustang Two is a solar power plant located in Lemoore, California, within the Western Electricity Coordinating Council region. With an operating capacity of 150 MW, it plays a significant role in the California Independent System Operator’s power control area. The plant is operated by RE Mustang Two and is unregulated, providing flexibility in its operations. Owned primarily by Idemitsu Renewables America, a subsidiary of Idemitsu Kosan Co, Mustang Two harnesses the sun as its fuel source. The primary power purchaser for the energy generated is the Peninsula Clean Energy Authority, contributing to the region’s renewable energy goals.
