Mt Olive Solar 1 is a solar power facility located in Mount Olive, North Carolina, within the SERC Reliability Corporation region. With an operating capacity of 5 MW, the plant harnesses solar energy to generate electricity. It is operated by FLS Energy and is unregulated, providing flexibility in its operations. The majority ownership lies with Cypress Creek Renewables, under the holding company EQT Infrastructure V. The primary power purchaser for the facility is Duke Energy Progress, which integrates the renewable energy produced into its power control area.
