Modern Innovative Energy operates a biomass power plant located in Youngstown, NY, within the Northeast Power Coordinating Council (NERC) region. The facility utilizes internal combustion technology and has an operating capacity of 6.4 megawatts. It is integrated into the New York Independent System Operator’s power control area, ensuring efficient energy distribution and management. The plant is unregulated, providing flexibility in its operations. Aria Energy Corp serves as the plant operator and majority owner, with BP plc as the owner holding company. Additionally, Ares EIF Management is recognized as another owner of the power plant.
