McMeekin is a steam turbine power generation facility located in Irmo, South Carolina, within the SERC Reliability Corporation region. The plant operates at a capacity of 250 megawatts and is part of the Dominion Energy South Carolina power control area. As a regulated facility, McMeekin is owned and operated by Dominion Energy South Carolina, a subsidiary of Dominion Energy. The plant utilizes gas as its primary fuel source, contributing to the region’s energy supply while adhering to regulatory standards.
