Maple Flats is a solar power facility located in Louisville, Illinois, within the SERC Reliability Corporation region. With an operating capacity of 250 MW, this unregulated plant harnesses the power of the sun to generate renewable energy. The facility is managed by WEC Energy Group, which is also the majority owner and holding company. Power generated at Maple Flats is supplied to the Midcontinent Independent System Operator, with the primary power purchaser being an undisclosed buyer.
