Ludington is a pumped storage power plant located in Ludington, Michigan, operating under the jurisdiction of the ReliabilityFirst Corporation within the NERC Region. With an impressive operating capacity of 2,258 megawatts, the facility plays a crucial role in the Midcontinent Independent System Operator’s power control area. The plant is regulated and primarily owned by Consumers Energy Company, which is also the plant operator. The ownership structure includes CMS Energy Corporation as the holding company, while DTE Electric Company is recognized as another owner of the power plant.
