Lower Granite is a hydraulic turbine power generation facility located in Colton, Washington, within the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) region. The plant operates with a capacity of 802 megawatts and is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – North Pacific Division. It functions under the jurisdiction of the Bonneville Power Administration as its power control area. As an unregulated facility, Lower Granite is primarily owned and operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – North Pacific Division, utilizing water as its primary fuel source.
