The Little Quinnesec Falls Hydro Project, located in Niagara, Wisconsin, operates under the jurisdiction of the Midwest Reliability Organization. This facility utilizes hydraulic turbine technology to generate an operating capacity of 9 megawatts. It is integrated into the Midcontinent Independent System Operator’s power control area, ensuring efficient management and distribution of electricity. The plant is operated by Northbrook Wisconsin, which also holds the majority ownership. The project is unregulated, providing flexibility in its operations. The owner holding company, Ontario Power Generation, supports the facility’s commitment to renewable energy, harnessing water as its primary fuel source.
