Little Cottonwood is a hydraulic turbine power generation facility located in Sandy, Utah, within the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) region. The plant operates with a capacity of 4.8 megawatts and is managed by the City of Murray, Utah. As a regulated entity, Little Cottonwood plays a vital role in the PacifiCorp East and West power control areas, contributing to the region’s energy supply through the utilization of water as its primary fuel source. The City of Murray holds majority ownership of the facility, ensuring local governance and operational oversight.
