Lick Creek Solar is a 50 MW solar power facility located in Walnut Cove, North Carolina, within the SERC Reliability Corporation region. Operated by Lick Creek Solar and owned by Pine Gate Renewables, this unregulated plant harnesses solar energy to generate electricity. The primary power purchaser for the facility is Duke Energy Carolinas, which integrates the renewable energy produced into its power control area. Utilizing the abundant fuel source of sunlight, Lick Creek Solar contributes to the growing demand for sustainable energy solutions in the region.
