Lake Charles Power is a combined cycle power plant located in Westlake, Louisiana, within the SERC Reliability Corporation region. With an operating capacity of 1000 MW, the facility is managed by Entergy Louisiana, which is also its majority owner under the Entergy Corporation holding company. The plant operates under regulated status and is part of the Midcontinent Independent System Operator’s power control area. It primarily utilizes natural gas as fuel, sourcing it from the Gulf South Pipeline Company.
