The Klamath Expansion Project is a gas turbine power plant located in Klamath Falls, Oregon, with an operating capacity of 115.2 MW. It falls under the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (NERC Region) and is operated by Pacific Klamath Energy. The plant is unregulated and primarily owned by Avangrid Renewables, a subsidiary of Iberdrola SA. The facility utilizes natural gas as its fuel source and supplies power primarily to Portland General Electric Company. The primary gas supply is sourced from the Gas Transmission Northwest pipeline, ensuring a reliable fuel supply for its operations.
