The facility, which utilizes solar technology, is unregulated and primarily serves the Duke Energy Progress power control area. Kirkwall Holdings, under the ownership of EQT Infrastructure V and majority owner Cypress Creek Renewables, harnesses sunlight as its fuel source. Duke Energy Progress is the primary purchaser of the power generated by this facility.
