King Mountain Wind Ranch 1 is a wind turbine facility located in McCamey, Texas, within the Texas Reliability Entity (NERC Region). With an operating capacity of 278 MW, the plant is part of the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) power control area. The facility is operated by Fpl Energy Texas Wind and is unregulated, with NextEra Energy Resources as the majority owner and NextEra Energy as the holding company. The primary fuel source for the plant is wind, and its power is primarily purchased by Reliant Energy Retail Holdings.
