Karankawa Wind is a wind turbine facility located in Mathis, Texas, within the Texas Reliability Entity (NERC Region). With an operating capacity of 380.2 MW, the plant is a significant contributor to the ERCOT power control area. Operated by Avangrid Renewables, which is also the majority owner, the facility is unregulated and falls under the ownership of Iberdrola SA. The primary fuel source for the plant is wind, and its power is primarily purchased by Austin Energy.
