The James W. Broderick Hydropower Plant, located in Pueblo, Colorado, operates under the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (NERC Region) and utilizes hydraulic turbine technology to generate power. With an operating capacity of 7.1 MW, the plant is a key asset in the WAPA Colorado-Missouri Region. It is regulated and primarily owned by the Southeastern Colorado Water Conservancy District, which also serves as the owner holding company. The plant is operated by Colorado Springs Utilities, which is also the primary purchaser of the electricity generated.
