Jacob Solar is a solar power facility located in Reidsville, North Carolina, within the SERC Reliability Corporation region. With an operating capacity of 5 MW, the plant harnesses solar energy to generate electricity. It is operated by Jacob Solar and is unregulated, allowing for flexible operational practices. The majority ownership lies with Sunlight Partners, under the holding company Jenis Investment Company. Duke Energy Carolinas serves as the primary power purchaser, integrating the renewable energy produced into its power control area.
