J&A-Santa Maria II is an unregulated internal combustion power plant located in Santa Maria, California, within the Western Electricity Coordinating Council region. With an operating capacity of 1.4 MW, the facility utilizes biomass as its fuel source. The plant is operated by J & A-Santa Maria II and is majority-owned by Janechek & Associates, which also serves as the owner holding company. The primary power purchaser for the electricity generated is Pacific Gas and Electric Company, and the plant is part of the California Independent System Operator’s power control area.
