Ivanpah 3 is a solar power plant located in Baker, California, within the Western Electricity Coordinating Council region. With an operating capacity of 133.4 MW, it harnesses the sun’s energy to generate electricity. The plant is managed by NRG Energy Services and is unregulated, with NRG Energy as the majority owner and holding company. It operates under the California Independent System Operator’s power control area. Notably, there are no primary power purchasers associated with the plant, and it is connected to the Kern River Gas Transmission Company for any necessary gas supply.
