Innovative Solar 16 is a solar power plant located in Hendersonville, North Carolina, within the SERC Reliability Corporation region. With an operating capacity of 2 MW, the facility harnesses solar energy to generate electricity. The plant is operated by Innovative Solar 16 and is unregulated, allowing for flexible operational strategies. It is majority-owned by Cypress Creek Renewables, under the holding company EQT Infrastructure V. The primary power purchaser for the energy produced is Duke Energy Progress, while the plant is integrated into the Duke Energy Carolinas power control area, contributing to the region’s renewable energy goals.
