Holtwood is a hydraulic turbine power plant located in Holtwood, Pennsylvania, within the ReliabilityFirst Corporation NERC region. With an operating capacity of 249 MW, it plays a significant role in the PJM Interconnection power control area. The plant is operated by Talen Energy Supply and is unregulated, with Brookfield Renewable Partners as the majority owner, under the holding company Brookfield Corporation. Utilizing water as its primary fuel source, Holtwood supplies power primarily to Google, contributing to the growing demand for renewable energy solutions.
