Hernando is a biomass power plant located in Brooksville, Florida, operating under the SERC Reliability Corporation region. The facility utilizes internal combustion technology and has an operating capacity of 1.6 megawatts. It is part of the Seminole Electric Cooperative power control area. The plant is operated by Aria Energy Corp, which also serves as the majority owner. The regulatory status of Hernando is unregulated, and it is owned by Aria Energy Corp, a subsidiary of BP plc. Additionally, Ares EIF Management holds ownership in the plant. Other owners of the power plant include Ares EIF Management.
