Hemmingway BESS is a state-of-the-art battery energy storage system located in Melba, Idaho, within the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) region. With an operating capacity of 116 megawatts, this facility plays a crucial role in enhancing grid reliability and supporting renewable energy integration. The plant is operated by Idaho Power Company, which also holds the majority ownership, under the parent company IDACORP.
