Hemlock Falls is a hydraulic turbine power generation facility located in Crystal Falls, Michigan, within the ReliabilityFirst Corporation NERC region. The plant operates with a capacity of 2.8 megawatts and is integrated into the Midcontinent Independent System Operator power control area. Wisconsin Electric Power Company serves as both the plant operator and the majority owner, under the ownership of WEC Energy Group. As a regulated facility, Hemlock Falls utilizes water as its primary fuel source, contributing to the region’s renewable energy portfolio.
