Hell Gate is a gas turbine power generation facility located in the Bronx, New York, with an operating capacity of 79.9 megawatts. The plant operates within the Northeast Power Coordinating Council (NERC) region and is managed by NAES Corporation. As part of the New York Independent System Operator’s power control area, Hell Gate plays a crucial role in the region’s energy landscape. The facility is unregulated and is primarily owned by the Power Authority of the State of New York, which also serves as its holding company.
