Hazel is a solar power facility located in Lanesboro, Minnesota, operating under the jurisdiction of the Midwest Reliability Organization. With an operating capacity of 3 megawatts, the plant contributes to the energy needs of the Midcontinent Independent System Operator’s power control area. The facility is managed by Fillinona Solar and is classified as unregulated, allowing for flexible operational strategies. The majority ownership of Hazel is held by Greenbacker Renewable Energy Corporation, which is part of the Greenbacker Renewable Energy Company. The plant harnesses solar energy, utilizing the sun as its primary fuel source to generate clean, renewable power.
