Haywood Solar is a solar power facility located in Brownsville, Tennessee, within the SERC Reliability Corporation region. With an operating capacity of 3 MW, the plant harnesses solar energy to generate electricity. It is operated by Haywood Solar and is unregulated, providing power primarily to the Tennessee Valley Authority, which is also its main power purchaser. The facility is majority-owned by Silicon Ranch Corporation, which also serves as the owner holding company. Utilizing the sun as its fuel source, Haywood Solar contributes to the renewable energy landscape in the region.
