The Hanging Rock Energy Facility, located in Hanging Rock, Ohio, operates under the ReliabilityFirst Corporation NERC region. This combined cycle power plant boasts an impressive operating capacity of 1,433 MW and is part of the PJM Interconnection power control area. Owned and operated by Vistra Corp, the facility utilizes natural gas as its primary fuel source. As an unregulated plant, it does not have a primary power purchaser, and it sources its gas from the Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company. Vistra Corp serves as both the majority owner and the holding company for the facility, reinforcing its commitment to efficient energy production in the region.
