Hampton Solar 2 is a solar power facility located in Hampton, South Carolina, within the SERC Reliability Corporation region. With an operating capacity of 20 MW, the plant harnesses solar energy to generate electricity. It is operated by Hampton Solar II and is unregulated, allowing for flexible operational practices. The majority owner of the facility is EDP Renewables North America, a subsidiary of EDP SA. The primary power purchaser for the energy produced is Dominion Energy South Carolina, which integrates the solar output into its power control area.
