Haefling is a gas turbine power generation facility located in Lexington, Kentucky, within the SERC Reliability Corporation region. The plant operates with a capacity of 28 megawatts and is part of the LG&E and KU Energy power control area. It is managed by Kentucky Utilities Company, which also serves as the majority owner. The facility is regulated and falls under the ownership of PPL Corporation. Utilizing natural gas as its primary fuel source, Haefling contributes to the region’s energy supply while adhering to regulatory standards.
