Grove Solar is a solar power facility located in New Bern, North Carolina, within the SERC Reliability Corporation region. With an operating capacity of 5 MW, the plant harnesses solar energy to generate electricity. It is operated by Grove Solar and is unregulated, providing flexibility in its operations. The majority ownership lies with Helios 3, under the holding company Sol Systems. The primary power purchaser for the energy produced is Duke Energy Progress, ensuring a reliable market for the electricity generated from the sun.
