Greenfield Wind is a wind turbine facility located in Choteau, Montana, with an operating capacity of 25 MW. Situated within the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) region, the plant is operated by Greenbacker Renewable Energy Company, which also holds majority ownership. The facility utilizes wind as its primary fuel source and supplies power to NorthWestern Energy Group, its main power purchaser. As an unregulated plant, Greenfield Wind contributes to the renewable energy landscape in Montana, harnessing the region’s wind resources to generate clean electricity.
