Greene Community Solar operates a solar power facility located in Chenango Forks, New York, within the Northeast Power Coordinating Council (NERC) region. The plant boasts an operating capacity of 5 megawatts (MW) and is integrated into the New York Independent System Operator’s power control area. As an unregulated entity, Greene Community Solar maintains its status as both the majority owner and the holding company of the facility. The plant harnesses solar energy, utilizing the sun as its primary fuel source, to contribute to the region’s renewable energy landscape.
