The Green River Wind Farm, located in Walnut, Illinois, operates under the ReliabilityFirst Corporation NERC region. This wind turbine facility boasts an operating capacity of 194.3 MW and is part of the PJM Interconnection power control area. Managed by Geronimo Power, the plant is unregulated and primarily owned by the Washington State Investment Board, which also serves as its holding company. The wind farm harnesses renewable wind energy, with the Illinois Municipal Electric Agency as its primary power purchaser.
