Green Country Energy is a state-of-the-art combined cycle power plant located in Jenks, Oklahoma, operating under the regulatory oversight of the Midwest Reliability Organization. With an impressive operating capacity of 819 megawatts, the facility plays a crucial role in the Southwest Power Pool’s power control area. The plant is managed by the Public Service Company of Oklahoma, which is also its majority owner. As part of the American Electric Power Company holding structure, Green Country Energy utilizes natural gas as its primary fuel source, ensuring efficient and reliable energy production in compliance with regulatory standards.
