Gravel Pit Solar is a solar power facility located in Broad Brook, Connecticut, within the Northeast Power Coordinating Council region. With an operating capacity of 120 MW, the plant utilizes solar technology to harness energy from the sun. It is managed by SOLV Energy and operates in the ISO New England power control area. The facility is unregulated and is primarily owned by D E Shaw Renewable Investments, under the holding company DESRI. Comcast Corporation is the primary purchaser of the power generated by this solar plant.
